Adult Summer Art Program at Central Square
Register for our Adult Summer Art Program at Central Square! We have a lot of great classes to choose from thanks to our program manager, Cole Mercier! The age range for these classes is 12 yrs old to adult and are priced individually. To register please call our office at 320-634-0400.
Cake Decorating ($40) - 7/8 Sat

Instructor - Faye Schmiesing
Let a certified Wilton instructor teach you beginning cake decorating basics. Bring a frosted 8” one-layer cake and your decorating bags and tips if you have them. All other supplies provided.
Beginning Jewelry Design ($35) - 7/22 Sat
9:30am-Noon
Instructor - Jenessa Grossman
Come away with a couple pairs of earrings, a bracelet, and a relaxing new hobby. This beginner level class will teach you terms, tools, and techniques. You will be well on your way to making your own jewelry designs after one lesson.
Acrylic Painting ($20) - 7/27 Thurs

This beginning level paint class will teach you the basics of layering and color techniques in a fun class environment using acrylic paint on a stretched canvas.

Painting with alcohol inks: a new and creative way to use this innovative product to create fabulous designs and brilliant colors. All materials provided. Just bring yourself and a snack and join Mary Jo for a delightful morning!

In the spirit of artists Hannah Hoch and Nancy Spero, two artists of feminism and creating messages against violence, students will create a collage which tells their own social message.
Telemark Rosemaling ($100) - 8/25-27 Fri-Sun

This three day class focuses on the traditional Norwegian Telemark techniques of painting on wooden plates.
*Supplies (Collage) - tissue paper (all colors), buttons, beads, sequins, ribbon, fabric scraps, confetti, glitter, misc. Ephemera, white/tacky glue, paint brushes, foam paint applicators (sm.), substrate (heavy cardboard, thin scrap wood, old stretched canvas), eye screws, picture hanging wire, black sharpies
